How I started Rustic Ridge Designs

I started woodworking in 2020. I'd just moved into my first condo with no furniture, and figured that for the cost of buying a piece, I could buy the tools and build it myself — if it sold, it sold; if not, I'd keep it.

It sold. So I built another. And another. A few hundred farmhouse tables later, Rustic Ridge Designs was a real business.

Every piece still leaves my shop with craftsmanship, providence, and legacy in mind.

Somewhere in those few hundred tables, keeping track of it all became its own craft — so I built a tool for that too. That's a story for Ridgework.
